I know we're supposed to personally write every single sales email when we're just starting out, but does anybody have a sample email that has worked well for cold-emailing potential customers? Just trying to get new ideas for crafting our own.

My feedback on this is to pick a person that has bought from you or the person you have in mind that would use your system. Write 3 emails to them about how you make their life better. Then sequence those emails to a list of similar persona’s. Don't use templates, they are not built for startups who are trying to figure stuff out.

I like having something standard that you can have in a sequence. Then just customize slightly in first line. For higher ROI, you can do company specific rather than user specific like a news piece or strategy. Here are some templates: https://www.hubspot.com/sales/crm-ready-sales-email-templates, https://support.apollo.io/hc/en-us/articles/115003695931-Top-Cold-Email-Templates good templates
