Europeans find difficulty in investing in the US entity and vice versa, but there are no hard rules. The point is which entity holds the IP, if the US holds then the EU one has a problem and vice versa. IP is important from an investment point of view, but every investor has its own way of thinking, some are geographic location focused, especially US investors prefer to see some US traction before investing.
