To see Floating Button analytics — including click-through rate and the funnel to email and phone submissions — your popup needs a Track click action set up on its Floating Button.
This feature launched on July 23 2026. Popups with Floating Buttons created after that date will likely already include this action. For popups created before July 23 2026, you'll need to add it manually using the steps below.
Adding Click-Through Rate to an Existing Popup
Step 1: Open the popup in the editor and go to the Floating button tab.
Step 2: Under Actions, click Add an action.
Step 3: From the menu, select Track click.
Step 4: Enter the label floatingButton
⚠️ This label is required. The report only tracks Floating Button clicks when the Track click label is added — floatingButton or a custom label. Leaving it blank means this click won't show up in your metrics.
Step 5: Publish your changes to make them live.
⚠️ Note: If you have multiple popups live, you'll need to make this change for each popup individually.
Make Sure Your Floating Button Is Actually Active
Your popup's close (X) button needs to minimize to the floating button rather than dismiss the popup entirely. If the X button just closes the popup outright, visitors won't see the floating button at all — and it won't be able to track any actions.
How to review the Floating Button Performance
Once the Click-Through Rate action is added to your Floating Button, it unlocks a dedicated analytics report — giving you visibility into how visitors interact with your Floating Button and what happens after they click.
Step 1: Navigate to the Reports section inside Alia.
Step 2: Click into Floating button performance.
You'll land on the report, which includes the funnel and click-through rate chart.
Filtering the Report
Near the top of the report, you can narrow the data down using:
Campaign — view results for a specific popup campaign
Popup variant — view results for a specific popup variant
Device type — filter by mobile, desktop, etc.
UTM source — filter by traffic source
Click More filters to see additional filtering options beyond these four.
Understanding the Metrics
Both the funnel chart and the click-through rate chart pull from the same underlying metrics:
Floating button clicks — the number of floating button clicks
Email submissions — the number of users who entered their email
Phone submissions — the number of users who entered their phone number
What the Report Shows
Each Floating Button report includes:
Click-through rate (CTR) The percent of popup viewers who went on to click the floating button.
Conversion funnel
Clicked floating button
Submitted email
Submitted phone
Together, these give you visibility into whether visitors are engaging with your floating button at all (CTR), and whether that engagement is actually leading to a conversion (the funnel).
