The Four Levels of Strategic Implementation

(AKA how progress really happens!) 👇

Get ready by navigating to your goals page....

  • These are the big hairy and audacious organizational goals, which are directionally guiding your efforts throughout this year or beyond...

    • i.e. high-level strategic goal

  • These are the areas of strategic focus established along your journey to the summit, serving as strategic pillars for planning and coordination.

  • They are generally interdepartmental / cross-functional focus areas that are required to move the business forward towards the top-level goals.

    • i.e. strategic focus area to move us closer to goal

STEP 3. Set your 'Routes' AKA Team Goals 🎯

  • These are the specific paths to success that lead from the Base Camps.

  • They are big and definable objectives (often called “the rocks”) that together define success within that strategic focus area, which a single team owns

    • i.e. a specific milestone within that strategic focus area

STEP 4. Finally, you add your 'Markers' 📋

  • These are waypoints and identifiable points along the route that indicate progress and provide guidance and direction.

  • These are the measurable results that are necessary to achieve the stated objectives expressed in the Routes.

    • i.e. a measurable result that is required to achieve the parent objective

Here's what it looks like all together 🤩

📏 Measuring Progress

Each sub-goal automatically calculates the score of the ones above it!

📝 Success Criteria

You can capture the progress of the tasks and things that need to get done for every goal, using Success Criteria in the goal drawer

🔎 Now let's talk fidelity

Once you've got your 4 levels of goals set-up, you can use filters to get the level of fidelity you need across your teams and goals (ie. how many levels down you want to go from Mountains to Markers!).

And the great thing about the filters is... they stack and save! 🎉

You can check out these videos to see how to easily filter and update your goals 📽️
