You are on your way to becoming an Alignerr, a member of our growing team of ambitious and skilled professionals. In this document, we will outline the most important moments that you need to know before you are ready to start contributing!
On your Alignerr dashboard at app.alignerr.com/home, you will see the following message:
Zara interview is the interview with our AI assistant that is created to verify your background, experience, and English language knowledge. This is the first step of your onboarding process. When you start the interview, please make sure to give the website the required microphone and camera permissions.
Usually, the permission pop-up will appear in the top left corner of your screen. After this, you will be taken to a page to check your sound and internet connection speed. For the best experience, we recommend a connection of at least 4 Mbps for both download and upload.
You will be prompted to test your sound, your microphone, and background noise. After all checks are successfully completed, you will be able to start the interview. Please note that using AI tools, external resources, or any outside assistance is strictly prohibited during the interview.
Once you have completed the interview, you will be prompted to the onboarding checklist, which looks like this:
You will need to read and sign the contract agreement. Later, you will be able to access it in the Documents tab of your Alignerr account settings.
You will need to create and connect a Hubstaff account. Hubstaff is the platform that you will use for time tracking once you are added to the projects. Please note, that if you already have an existing Hubstaff account, you will need to use another email to connect to the Alignerr Ops Organization on Hubstaff. This email can be different from the one you have used to sign up for Alignerr.
After the Hubstaff account has been created and set up, you will need to download the Hubstaff desktop app. Please note that we do not allow time tracking via the mobile application.
Once you are all set with Hubstaff, you will be prompted to connect a payment method. Depending on your identity verification country, we have 2 different payment methods: Stripe and PayPal. Important notice: at this moment, there is no option to choose a preferred payment method. If you only see an option to connect Stripe, you cannot request to connect a PayPal account and vice versa. If your available payment method is Stripe, please note that you will only be able to connect a bank account that matches the country on the ID you have provided for verification. If you want to connect a bank account from any other country, you will need to resubmit the ID verification with an ID from this country. To request re-submission, please reach out to the Alignerr Support team!
For project-related communication, we use Discord. On the 5th step of your onboarding checklist, you will be prompted to connect your Discord account. If you do not have an existing account, you will need to create one. Please see the instructions here. Before you can connect your account to Alignerr, you need to verify it. Please follow the steps listed in this article.
The last step of your verification is to get access to your Labelbox account. Labelbox is the platform we use to perform labeling on the projects. You can access your account by clicking the “Go to project” button, which will unlock after you are done with first 5 onboarding steps. Please note that it is completely normal not to see any projects on your dashboard once you log in.
Now you should be all set and ready to start your first project.
Important notice: this position is project-based. Projects are matched based on current demand, your availability, and how well your skills fit the project’s needs — including language fluency, technical skills, and overall readiness. If a project becomes available, you’ll receive an email with all the details, including the pay rate, so you can decide whether to participate.
To improve your chances of being matched, please make sure your profile reflects your most up-to-date skills and experience.
To edit your profile, please navigate to the Profile tab, which you can find on the left bottom left corner of your dashboard.
Here are some tips on how to navigate your Alignerr dashboard. You will notice different tabs on the top left corner of your dashboard.
Home - this is your homepage, which you are already familiar with.
Dashboard - on this tab, you can view and track your project performance and ratings. Please note that the ratings tab can take some time to update, since the review process can take some time.
Assessments - here you can view all available assessments and take the ones that you think align with your skills and experience. Assessments help you to prove and show your level of expertise on the topic.
Rules - here you can view Alignerr Community rules. Please take some time to review this tab, to ensure that you understand and comply with the rules of the platform.
Jobs - in this tab, you can apply for different jobs presented on our platform. Please note that you can only apply for 3 jobs. If you change your mind about the application you have made or if you want to apply for another job, you will need to withdraw your previous application first.
On the bottom left you will also be able to view more useful tabs:
Notifications - will include important notifications, that will include onboarding updates, payment/referral news, etc.
Profile - in this section you will be able to upload/re-upload your resume and edit important sections of your Profile, such as education, experience, languages, etc. You also can edit your availability and preferred rates here.
Settings - In this section, you will see multiple tabs, including:

Documents
Wallet
GitHub
Discord
Hubstaff
In this section you will be able to manage your Alignerr account, email notifications, connections to other platforms, etc.
Theme - you can choose which theme to use for the Alignerr website.
