If you have added an EAN code to your spare parts they can be identified directly from the Mobile application or added to a device

All device Spares module allows the addition of EAN codes, which are a way of identifying parts. For example. here is a bearing added with an EAN Code.

Clicking on the bar code logo at the right hand side allows you to print the code

For Mobile you can use the camera on a phone to view, or add a spare to a task as follows"-

  1. To identify a part in the mobile application go to 'Spares'

Then click the bar code icon to the right of EAN

Use the Camera to scan the bar code and the part will be displayed

2. Add a spare to a Task

Access a Task from the device or Tasks section on the Mobile, select a task.

Select Spares

Click on the barcode icon below.

NOTE: If you are printing your own bar codes and are facing issues reading the printed codes, it can be an issue with the resolution on some label printers and the length of the EAN code used. If you face the issue, please try to scan the code from the application on the computer screen as see above, if this works, but printing doesn't you will need to address the printing resolution. This can mean upgrading the label printer, or using a A4 printer with labels that has a higher dot ratio.
