A multi licence setup is where on Alldevice Instance can have multiple companies added (multiple licences) to a single instance.
You can select the company you are working in via the top right drop down as below
You can set which companies users can access from settings> Users , you may also want to also setup departments that also can limit visibility within a company.
Multi licence has pros and cons depending on your needs:-

One instance can be administered and setup to operate over multiple companies | Separating companies data in the future should one company be sold is complicated |
High Value Spare parts availability can be shared across companies | Setup is more complex, visibility of companies and locations by users needs consideration and setting up. |
Reporting and data across multiple companies is simpler | Setup structure will be the same across all companies. |
