You can set task intervals to be counter based, or counter and time based, to ensure maintenance is carried out where usage is the best method.

Settings

There are 2 main settings for the counter -

Settings > Settings > Functionality - Under the Task section make sure "Counter based interval calculation" is on. As default the "Period (in days) used for calculating 24-h average reading increase" should be 14 days, you can change this if needed, but ideally the counters would be updated via API daily and 14 days is ideal. There are some additional settings fields which are optional related to counters.

Updating the Counter

API - The recommended way to update counters is via the optional API interface where the count is sent from the production machine, to Alldevice on a daily basis. This could be via the Scada control system or other digital counters available. If you need to add the API interface to your account please contact sales@alldevice.com

Mobile app - You can manually update the counters via the mobile application and QR or NFC tags, this needs updating regularly so the average count value is > 0 not above setting for averaging counter values. IF zero then no task will be present.

Setting up a devices Tasks based on the counter

To setup a counter or counter and time based maintenance task :-

  1. Add period / counter type interval

2. Enter the Name, Starting date, and the current value of the counter (or the last time the maintenance was conducted from the count value)

3. If you want to set a calendar and counter based schedule then enter both the date and counter units value - For example in below we have 6 months or Counter 1000, this is similar to a car service where every 20000 Km / Miles or 12 months the service should be conducted ie Time or Distance.

If you only want the counter simply leave the date element set to 0 and only the counter will trigger the task.
