On any task you can book the spares that are needed to carry out the job.
For example in the task below, need to check if we have the filters required, this can be done from the used spares section
The spares that have been used on this device are listed, and I will select the filters, I can change quantities and the stock used if needed.
These will now be reserved, and show as booked, this depends on Settings > Settings > Functionality and "How many days beforehand to book spares" the default is 14, but you can change this number, 0 books all.
You can also report on spares required for an upcoming period.
