Manually Include & Exclude Users from Audiences (Feeds, Academy, Surveys, Reports, To-Do Lists)

This option is available across Feeds, Academy, Surveys, Reports, and To-Do Lists.

What “Manually include or exclude people” does

  • Manually include: adds specific people to the audience even if they don’t meet the audience rules.

  • Manually exclude: removes specific people even if they do meet the audience rules.

Think of it like your final backstage pass list—rules set the vibe, manual include/exclude sets the guest list. 🎸


Feeds

  1. Go to Feeds

  2. Open the relevant Feed

  3. Click Manage

  4. Select Manually include or exclude people

  5. Add people to Include and/or Exclude

  6. Save your changes


Academy

  1. Go to Academy

  2. Do one of the following:

    • Click an existing Course/Training, or

    • Click Create New Course

  3. Go to Settings

  4. Find and open Audience

  5. Click Manually include or exclude people

  6. Add people to Include and/or Exclude

  7. Save your changes

If your setup shows “Audience” directly inside Settings, that’s the right spot—same destination, slightly different signpost.


Surveys

  1. Go to Surveys

  2. Do one of the following:

    • Click a pre-existing survey, or

    • Click Create New Survey

  3. Click Audience

  4. Select Manually include or exclude people

  5. Add people to Include and/or Exclude

  6. Save your changes


Reports

  1. Go to Reports

  2. Click Templates

  3. Do one of the following:

    • Open a pre-existing report, or

    • Click Create New

  4. Click Audience

  5. Select Manually include or exclude people

  6. Add people to Include and/or Exclude

  7. Save your changes


To-Do Lists

Old list (editing an existing list)

  1. Go to To-Do Lists

  2. Click the list you want to update

  3. Click Edit

  4. Make your changes as needed

  5. Click Update list

  6. Click Manually include or exclude people

  7. Add people to Include and/or Exclude

  8. Save your changes

New list (creating from scratch)

  1. Click Create New

  2. Add tasks

  3. Click Create List

  4. Click Manually include or exclude people

  5. Add people to Include and/or Exclude

  6. Save your changes
