Why is the app asking for Face ID or a passcode?

All Gravy can lock behind your phone's biometrics or passcode when you re-open it. This is not a new login and your session is intact.

If All Gravy asks for Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint or your phone's passcode when you re-open it, that is the app lock working as intended. 🔒

This is not a new login

You have not been signed out and your session has not expired. The app is simply confirming it is you before showing your information again, in the same way a banking app does.

It uses whatever your phone already has set up. All Gravy never sees your face, your fingerprint or your device passcode — your phone confirms it and only tells the app yes or no.

Why it exists

All Gravy holds your pay information, your shifts and your workplace conversations. If your phone is unlocked and left on a table, the app lock keeps that behind one more door.

If it will not accept you

  • Use your device passcode instead. Every phone offers it as a fallback when biometrics fail.

  • Wet hands, a new pair of glasses or a face covering are the usual reasons biometrics fail.

  • If your phone's own biometrics have stopped working generally, fix that in your phone's settings and the app will follow.

Do not confuse it with your All Gravy PIN

Your All Gravy PIN is the one you created when you first signed in, and it is part of signing in. The app lock is your phone's own security, applied when you return to the app. They are different things.
