💡 Introduction to the Technology:

An Artificial Intelligence model is a tool or algorithm, which, thanks to a certain set of data provided upstream can, when faced with a new datum can make a decision without the need for human intervention in the decision-making process.

Artificial intelligence is a constellation of different technologies that work together to enable machines to perceive, understand, act and learn at levels of intelligence comparable to those of humans.

Among these technologies, expert systems based on “if-then” rule variations were the predominant AI technology in healthcare in the 1980s and later. The use of this technology in healthcare is still widespread today for clinical decision support.

Unlike the visualization functionality on the X-ray, which uses Machine Learning and Deep Learning technologies, the treatment plan functionality on Allisone uses the rule variation system, based on your pre-defined care preferences, to present your care suggestions in accordance with the elements you have previously validated on the X-ray.

🚧 Setting treatment preferences:

To set your care preferences, click on your personal icon in the top right-hand corner and click on “My treatments”.

For each pathological or non-pathological item, set one or more preferred care options.

So, for each item, you can:

  • Add as many options as you like by clicking on “+Option” in the top right-hand corner.

  • Choose different treatment options for wisdom teeth. This will take the form of one of these two headline illustrations:

  • Add options needing several treatments by clicking on the small “+” to the right of the first treatment. (Example: treatment 1 “implant” + treatment 2 “crown”)

Results on the “treatment plan”:

Thanks to what you've validated on the x-ray, as well as the set of rules you've set up in your care preferences, Allisone can automatically return the appropriate care options.

đŸ€“ Example:

If, as in the example above, you have selected the “Inlay/Onlay” and “Restoration” options in the case of a cavity not affecting the nerve, Allisone will offer you both options:

To add treatments to your treatment plan, simply toggle the elements by clicking on them as follows:
