Overview
The mutual action plan (MAP) is the central piece of an Alongspace, where most information are shared. It is also the place where most collaboration takes place.
There are various blog articles to learn more about the implementation of MAPs. You can read about use cases and/or other tricks to use mutual action plans.

This article focuses on the functionalities of the action plan. It is a deep dive into the overall structure and breakdown of features that you can use to get the most out of the mutual action plan capabilities.
Work with phases
Structure the mutual action plan in different phases that are relevant for your process.
Pre and Post Sales
A good basic structure is to think in pre and post sales motions to divide the actions across different phases.
Buying process
Think about the buying process from the buying side and try to visualise a logical and smooth breakdown that will work for your buyers.
Onboarding phases
Divide the action plan into phases during an onboarding that create a good breakdown overall.
Add phases with one click at the bottom of every action plan. At least one phase needs to be added to be able to add actions as well.
Work with actions
Adding actions then builds the whole skeleton of the Alongspace to add information in. An action is always added within a phase and can be moved around across phases with a drag and drop function.
Action workflows
Actions can be used to create workflows throughout the buying journey.
You can assign actions to various stakeholders.
You can set due dates on actions to enforce accountability.
Content in actions
You can add any content within each action just like you would do in a section as well.
Adding sub-tasks
Add sub-tasks to each action to break down further what deliverables or actions are needed in order to complete this step.
Collaborate on actions
Beyond the ability to streamline workflows by holding stakeholders accountable with assigning and setting due dates, you can comment on each action specifically. Discuss specific points regarding the action at hand or use comments to send follow-ups and (re-)engage buyers in the Alongspace.
Internal actions
Work with internal content as described in this article.
