How to Add Roles to Loads & Stops

Users now have the ability to assign a broader range of roles to loads and trips. This update provides added flexibility in designating team members responsible for specific tasks within each load, making it easier to track accountability.

Who Can Add Roles?

The ability to add roles is available to Partner Admins and Admins. These users can assign roles to loads, trips, and within customer or carrier profiles.

Available Roles for Loads and Stops

Load Roles

You can now assign the following roles to a load:

  • Customer Sales Agent (previously Sales Agent)

  • Customer Service Representative

  • Sales Manager

Trip Roles

For each trip's stops, you can assign:

  • Dispatcher

  • Load Planner

  • Carrier Sales Agent

How to Assign Roles

  1. Navigate to the Load Details Page

  2. Add the Relevant Role

Choose the role you want to assign, and select the team member to be responsible. Repeat as needed for additional roles.

Assigning Customer Facing Roles in the Company Profile

To streamline role assignments, certain roles can be added directly within a company profile:

  • Customer Service Representative

  • Load Planner

  • Sales Manager

  • Customer Sales Agent

When these roles are assigned in a company profile, they’ll automatically be included in new loads associated with that customer, saving time and ensuring consistency.

Role Assignment for Carrier Profiles

Similarly, Carrier Sales Agents can be assigned within a carrier profile. Once added, this agent will automatically be assigned to any load or trip associated with that carrier.

This automation reduces manual updates and ensures consistent role assignments across loads and trips.
