Split Fuel Transactions

Summary

  1. What is it?

    1. Introducing visibility to different transaction categories used at a store/fuel pump. Currently, when a driver is using the fuel card at a store/gas station, all the transactions are lumped into 1 category - Fuel Transaction for the Truck. This may not be accurate because the card could also have been used for cash advance, groceries, maintenance items and etc…

  2. Why is it important?

    1. A fuel card can be used for a number of different types of purchases. Within a purchase transaction, some categories are related to the driver expenses and some are related to company/tenant expenses. It is important to have this type of visibility for not only to understand what was purchased, but to also know what action steps to take next depending on the transaction categories.

  3. How is it used?

    1. Users will use the same Fuel Report as before however instead of one line item summing all the categories for a transaction, the details for a category details will be display in its row. In other words, if a transaction had items belonging to 3 different categories, then the report will show 3 different rows of information (1 for each category).

  4. Who has access?

    1. All users
