With Amazon Music for Artists, instantly know how your fans are listening to your music.
Amazon Music for Artists is available on both web and mobile. If you have not down so already, head to the Apple App or Google Play Store and download the Amazon Music for Artists app.
Once the app is open, you will be directed to sign-in using an Amazon retail account.
Important: If you do not have an Amazon retail account, you will need to create one in order to continue going through the sign-up and artist claim flow.
How to claim an artist profile
If you are signing in for the first time you will be prompted to claim as an artist or manager or as a label or distributor. Select the tile that best represents your role.
The tile selected will determine how you are onboarded to Amazon Music for Artists, if this is your first time using the app.
Artist, managers, artist management companies and other members of an artists team should select the tile labeled, artist or manager.
Label or distributor representatives who own, manage or work for Record Labels or Distributors should select the tile labeled, label or distributor.

Steps to claim an artist profile:
From the Claim an Artist page, use the open search field to search and select the artist profile you wish to claim.
If you cannot find the correct artist profile by search the artist name, try using the URL from the artist profile page. If you need help finding the URL please visit this article. For example:
Select the artist profile and click "Claim".
Next, let us know who you are by filling in:
company name
selecting your role type
Finally, help us verify your relationship to the artist by either/ or
connecting the artist's distributor account
connecting the artist's social media accounts
The more information you are able to provide, the easier it will be for our team to verify your relationship to the artist and quickly approve your claim.
Connecting via Distributor
Does the artist use CD Baby, DistroKid, TuneCore, or TuneCore Japan to distribute their digital music to Amazon Music? If yes, you get instant access to the app when you authenticate using your distributor account login.
Connecting via Social Media Accounts
If the artist uses a different distributor than one of the partners we have listed above, then we also provide the option for anyone to verify their relationship to the artist by connecting the artist's social media accounts through Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.
In order to successfully connect the artists social media accounts, you'll need access to their login credentials for each platform. To connect simply,
Select the social media tab which you wish to connect
Enter the credentials of the artist social media account
Fill in the remainder of the selections until you land back at claim page in Amazon Music for Artists
Once completed, a check mark will display over the social media account tab you connected
Note: While neither of the two connections are required to submit a claim, leaving this section blank greatly increases the chance that the claim will be denied.
I'm having trouble claiming my artist. What should I do?
There are a number of reasons a claim could have been denied. Most commonly, the claim was submitted without verifiable data attached to the claim.
We recommend connecting the artist social media accounts in the claim verification workflow for the smoothest approval. If that is not possible for whatever reason, please reach out to us through the messenger and provide us with any of the following under additional information:
a link to an official artist website where we see the email address you’re using to claim your Amazon Music for Artists profile.
a link to a social media channel where we see your name and/or the email address you’re using to claim your Amazon Music for Artists profile is featured under “About”. The most helpful links are to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, etc.
a link to a management company website where we see the artist's name listed on the roster. Keep in mind, if you’re a manager we also want to see that the management company’s name is the domain name of the email address you’re using to claim the profile.
The more information you can provide to help us verify your relationship to the artist profile the better.
My artist profile is already claimed. What should I do?
The can also be many reasons that claim appears to have already been claimed by another user. The correct answer is not always the most obvious.
It is not your profile.... Are you trying to claim the correct profile? If your artist name on Amazon Music is the same or similar as other artists try searching for your correct profile using the artist URL.
There are multiple artists on the same profile... Sometimes artist profiles are homes to multiple artists music. Before you can claim the correct profile the page will need to be corrected - to help kickstart the process check out this article!
You already claimed it. This one may be more likely than you think. Do you have multiple Amazon retail account login's? Have you ever had to reset your Amazon retail account password through customer service? Could you have been logged into someone else's account when you claimed the artist profile the first time? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then it's possible you already have access. If you know the other credentials, please try logging in again and see if the artist team has already been claimed, otherwise feel free to send us a message through the messenger.
Someone on your team already claimed it. Have you checked internally? Reach out to your team members to see if someone else has already claimed the profile. If they have they can add you through the Manage Team feature location in the app.
