Advanced Search Feature
In this support article, we'll explore the advanced search feature in PXM, offering users powerful tools to efficiently locate specific items within their PXM instance. Whether searching for multiple items in bulk or conducting a conditional search by attribute, the advanced search feature streamlines the search process and enhances user productivity.
Accessing Advanced Search:
Locate the Advanced Search button on the home page.
This button is also available from the search page, or after selecting a Category folder on the right hand side.
Key Features of Advanced Search:
Bulk Search: Users can search for multiple items in bulk by directly copying and pasting SKUs (or your chosen Product Folder names) into the search bar. The system will auto-format the SKUs for enhanced searchability, displaying all files or products with matching names.
β
There are two types of Bulk Search:Exact:
This is used to bulk search specific and exact product folders and files based on Folder Name, Folder Additional Title, and/or Filename.
For Exact Search to work, you must have the exact folder or filename or else the search won't pull any results.
You can easily paste a list of product folders names or filenames from your preferred spreadsheet to find the exact matches you need.
Keyword
This is used to bulk search product folders based on certain keywords or phrases which could be present in Folder Name or Additional Search Tags.
You can also search for files based on filename, search tags, file content, caption, and metadata
Similar to Exact search, you can paste collection folder names or additional search tags directly into the input box and find the matches you need.
*Note if you are bulk searching products, you will need to be on the product results tab, and if you are searching file names, you will need to be on the files results tab.
Conditional Attribute Search: By pressing "Add Search Filter", users can conduct conditional searches by attributes housed in PXM. By selecting the desired attribute and specifying conditions (contains, does not contain), users can refine their search results effectively.
- Example: Searching for products with the attribute "Country of Origin" "contains" "New Zealand" will display all items with this attribute value set as New Zealand.
- Users can also specify negated conditions, such as products where the attribute "Country of Origin" "does not contain" "New Zealand."
Below is a list of available search filter conditions, along with a description of how each one works:
