Overview

Media stacks let you define the exact order of images, videos, and other media for a product so you can meet marketplace or retailer requirements (for example, Amazon image order). You first create a Media Stack Group in System Settings, then add a media stack to a product and arrange assets. Finally, you can map the stack to channel templates or API templates for syndication or export.

Note
In some areas of the app you may still see “Image stack group.” This is being renamed to “Media stack group” and now supports videos and other media, not just images.

Before you start

  • Ensure you have permission to access System Settings and edit products.

  • Upload assets to the product’s asset folder so they are available to add to a stack.

Part 1: Create a Media Stack Group (System Settings)

  1. Open the left sidebar and click Settings.

  2. Click Open System Settings.

  3. In the top navigation row, click System.

  4. Open the Image stack group tab (will be renamed to Media stack group).

  5. Click Create new.

  6. Enter a name for the group. Examples:

    • Amazon (for an Amazon-specific order)

    • Gallery Content (for an internal gallery/carousel)

  7. Click Save, then Save and close to confirm.

Your new Media Stack Group is now available to use on products.

Part 2: Add a media stack to a product and arrange assets

  1. Go to Products and open a product.

  2. Open the Media Stack tab.

  3. Click Create media stack (bottom-right).

  4. In the drawer, use the Select stack group dropdown and choose your group (for example, Gallery Content), then create the group.

  5. Click into the new stack group on the product to open the right-hand drawer.

  6. Click Edit media.

  7. Select the assets from the product’s folder that you want included in this stack. You can select one or multiple.

  8. Click Add to group. Assets are added in the order you selected them.

  9. To change the order, drag and drop assets within the stack. Changes save automatically; you’ll see a save confirmation.

Tips

  • You can create multiple media stacks on a single product if you need different orders for different channels.

  • A single Media Stack Group can be reused across many products.

  • Only assets tied to the product’s asset folder appear for selection in Edit media.

  • The asset order in the media stack is what is used in exports and syndication.

Part 3: Use media stacks in channel/API templates
After your media stack is set on the product:

  • Open your channel template or API template and map the media stack fields as required by the destination (for example, primary image, secondary images, video).

  • When you syndicate or export, the media will be delivered in the same order defined in the product’s media stack.

Troubleshooting and FAQs

  • I don’t see my new group on the product: Confirm you clicked Save and close when creating the group in System Settings.

  • I can’t find any assets to add: Upload assets to the product’s asset folder first, then click Edit media again.

  • The tab still says Image stack group: This label is being updated. Functionality is the same; media stacks support images, videos, and other media.

  • Do changes auto-save? Yes, adding/removing/reordering in a media stack saves automatically. Look for the save confirmation message.

Next steps

  • Map your media stacks within your channel or API templates to ensure each destination receives assets in the required order.

  • Use exports/syndication to generate links or deliver content, confident that the order is preserved from the media stack.
