Searching for Items and Files in Amplifi

In this support article, we'll discuss the various methods available for searching items and files within Amplifi. Whether navigating through categorical searches or utilizing the search bar, these options provide users with efficient ways to locate specific content within their Amplifi instance.

Categorical Search:

  1. To initiate a categorical search, navigate to the top left-hand corner and click on "Categories." This will display organizational folders within your Amplifi instance.

  2. By browsing through these folders, users can locate the desired category. Remember that the folders, sub-folders, and subsequent folders are determined by you, and can be adjusted as needed by admins.

  3. Within the selected category, users can view all collections or files associated with the specified category. For instance, selecting the "Files" tab will display all images labeled as nails within the "Nails" folder.

Search Bar:

  1. Alternatively, users can utilize the search bar by typing in keywords related to their search query.

  2. Upon entering the keyword, Amplifi will automatically display relevant categories, collections, or files containing the specified keyword.

  3. Users can further refine their search using the filter button located in the top right-hand corner. Filters allow users to specify search criteria, such as dominant color, creation date range, or published status, to narrow down search results.

Filtering Searches:

The Filter button is found in the top right hand corner of the files/collections page. This button can be used at any time during your search for the following filters:

  • Refinement by Dominant Color: Amplify's filter button allows users to narrow down search results by dominant color, enabling them to find images or files with specific color characteristics efficiently.

  • Date Range Selection: Users can specify a date range for when files were uploaded, facilitating focused searches on recently added content or materials uploaded within a particular timeframe.

  • File Type Filtering: The filter options include the ability to filter search results by file type, providing users with greater control over locating content in their preferred format.
