How to Request a Lead Credit

Understanding credit request guidelines and the steps to request a credit.

Written by Angi

While we cannot guarantee that any particular lead will result in a job, we value improving our platform by asking you to report any concerns you have with leads. Reporting leads helps us provide a better service for our pros and identify where we can improve to help ensure you’re getting the best leads for your needs.

Credits issued to an account are automatically applied toward future lead charges. Please note that credits will expire if not used within six months from the date issued. Angi also may offer credits for exceptional circumstances not listed below.

Note: If you have an annual subscription or purchased the lead in question from an Opportunity, you can report leads, but credits are not offered for those leads.

Lead credit request guidelines

Angi may, in its discretion, offer a credit for reporting leads for the following reasons:

  • Invalid contact info: The phone number is disconnected, not in service, or does not belong to the homeowner listed.

  • Wrong location: The project location is outside the ZIP codes you have set in your profile.

  • Service mismatch: The project type does not match the specific services or tasks in your profile.

  • Duplicate lead: You were charged twice for the same lead/homeowner.

  • Paused leads: You were charged for a lead while your lead flow was paused.

Requirements

The following conditions must be met for Angi to consider whether to issue a credit.

  1. The lead must be less than 45 days old.

  2. You should have attempted to call the homeowner within 24 hours of being sent the lead.

  3. Your account remains in good standing without overdue balances.

  4. You do not have an annual subscription.

  5. The lead did not come from an Opportunity you showed interest in or accepted.

We recognize that not every lead results in a signed contract. We account for these situations while striving to offer competitive lead pricing. The following situations are accounted for in our lead pricing, so they are not eligible for credits:

  1. The homeowner does not answer your calls or return your messages.

  2. The homeowner hired another pro before you reached them.

  3. The homeowner decided not to move forward with the project at this time.

  4. The homeowner is gathering multiple quotes or is in the “shopping phase.”

  5. You provided a quote but did not win the job.
