How Angi estimated cost ranges work

Add your input to Angi’s estimated cost ranges. Your feedback can help bring the ranges homeowners see closer to what you’d expect for the project.

Written by Jenna Larson

Homeowners often look up costs online, from search results to AI tools, before beginning a project. We’re working to make Angi’s estimated cost ranges more accurate, and we want your input to get them right. You’ll find the range at the bottom of your lead details in a browser. If it doesn't match what you'd expect, you can tell us in seconds.

It's optional, and we won't share what you enter with homeowners or treat it as your quote.

Why your feedback matters

Homeowners often want a sense of what a project might cost before they start, and the numbers they find from search results or AI tools aren’t always right. You know what projects cost in the field and with your feedback, the range homeowners see on Angi can get closer to that. That can mean fewer surprises when you talk about cost with a homeowner.

What we do with your feedback

We combine your input with feedback from other pros on the same and similar projects. That helps us build more accurate cost ranges for future service requests. Over time, we plan to improve cost estimates across Angi, including our Angi Cost Guides and other places homeowners see costs.

Homeowners won’t see what you enter.

Frequently asked questions

What is the estimated cost range?

General guidance based on similar projects homeowners have submitted to Angi and checked against Angi research. It isn’t a quote.

Do I have to give feedback?

No. It’s optional, but we’d love to hear from you.

Is what I enter my quote?

No. It is not a quote or a commitment to any price.

Why don't I see a cost estimate on some leads?

Cost estimates only appear when you view a lead on the Angi website, including in a mobile browser. You won’t see them in the Angi for Pros app yet. We’re working on bringing them to the app.

Can I add a note if I click Yes?

Not right now. Clicking Yes lets us know the estimate looks accurate.

Will the homeowner see what I enter?

No. We combine it with other pros’ feedback to improve the cost estimates that homeowners see, including in our Cost Guides.
