Make sure that the categories you add are for work that you would perform as a stand-alone service, without being included in a larger job. Avoid the addition of irrelevant categories to your profile to ensure that you don't receive leads for jobs that are outside of your general scope of work. You can change your categories in either the Angi for Pros site or the Angi Pro Ads app.
Angi for Pros site:
Go to the Angi for Pros site and sign in.
Hover over My business in the header and select Service categories.
On the right of each category listing, you can toggle existing categories on or off.
To add a new category, click the Add Categories button. A pop up will appear where you can type the service you are interested in.
Select the category you'd like to add from the drop down and it will appear below. You may add multiple categories at the same time.
Click the Confirm button.
To remove a category, toggle it to the left and a pop up will appear to confirm you'd like to Turn Off or delete this category.
Note: This will not affect any advertising categories. To make changes to your advertising categories, you will need to reach out to your Client Success Manager or start a live chat.
Angi Pro Ads app:
Tap My Business in the bottom right hand corner.
Under the Business Management Tools section, select Categories.
On the right of each category listing, you can toggle existing categories on or off.
To add a new category, click on the plus sign in the bottom right hand corner and start typing the service you are interested in.
Select the category you'd like to add from the drop down and it will appear under the search bar as a selected category. You may add multiple categories at the same time.
Once you've made your selections, click Save in the upper right corner, and confirm to turn on your selected categories.
Note: Changing categories on the site or app does not affect your advertising. This only makes an adjustment to which categories are on your profile and listed in the services you offer. If you wish to update categories on your advertising agreement, please contact your Client Success Manager or start a live chat.
