Release notes | 1.4.57 | 13 May 2025

Updated over a month ago

Toolbar

  • Sending appointment booking links has now been fully integrated with messaging. To send a booking link, start a new message from the toolbar and attach a booking link to it.

  • The controls for booking link configuration have been updated. It’s now easier to view and edit booking link configurations.

Documents

  • There has been a significant redesign of the document viewer to align the interface with the rest of Anima. Note that this is in preview - If you'd like to access the new interface, please contact us through support and we'll make the switch!

  • You can now search SNOMED codes by their numeric ID (i.e. 45326000 for shoulder pain)

  • In the documents table, all newly uploaded documents will now display their source (e.g., from email, manual upload, or MESH). This indicator can be toggled on or off within the table settings.

  • We have improved our patient matcher to ignore placeholder NHS Numbers (i.e. 999 999 9999) within documents

Requests

  • New Request View: The top controls for updating priority, due date, and assignee has been removed. These controls were used infrequently and can be updated by "Hand over" instead.

  • RAG rating can now be edited under "More actions" in the new request view

  • Requests 1.5 is now available for everyone. If you haven't before, you are now able to access the new view under request actions in your dashboard.

Sessions - Anima Scribe

  • You can now dictate live into the notes section - Handy for updating or adding to Annie's output

  • Adjust with Annie: We've added a prompt at the bottom of the notes section where you can ask Annie to take specific actions on the notes. e.g. "Make this shorter" or "add patient quotes" - This is in preview, if you'd like access now, just contact us

EMIS Integration Performance Improvement

We've begun introducing a significantly faster and more deeply integrated EMIS experience with Anima to interested practices. This enhancement allows for:

  • Quickly opening patient records in EMIS directly from Anima.

  • A yellow "patient updated" banner in EMIS appears when notes, documents or sessions are filed into patient records.

  • Almost instantaneous loading of the currently open EMIS patient from the toolbar for Scribe and Messaging.

This upgrade requires a brief, one-time setup by your local EMIS administrator and an update to the new desktop application. We've received very positive feedback from practices already using this improved integration.

We are working diligently to roll this out to all EMIS practices as swiftly as possible. We appreciate your patience if we haven't reached out to your practice yet. If you'd like to update sooner, just get in touch
