Enable the TPA at the Agency/Broker level
Log in as a broker.
Go to the Marketplace tab in your broker/agency portal.
Locate the specific COBRA TPA partner (ANUVI).
Click View , then Enable.
This makes the partner available to all your groups.
Enable the TPA for the specific company
Open the company/group in Ease.
Go to Company > Marketplace .
Find ANUVI COBRA TPA partner tile and Enable it for that company.
This triggers an automatic notification from Ease to the TPA and unlocks the setup wizard for that group. The connection status will start as Pending .
Mark COBRA-eligible plans correctly
Go to Company > Benefits > [Plan] > Profile > Advanced Settings .
Set COBRA to one of:
Eligible – 102%
This makes the plan COBRA-eligible and ensures COBRA events can be sent on the file.
Confirm employee data is complete
For employees who may trigger COBRA:
Make sure SSN, First Name, Last Name, Gender, Birth Date, Address, and Hire Date are populated.
For dependent COBRA events (e.g., aging out, divorce, death), dependent SSNs are required by many TPAs.
Wait for Anuvi approval
After you complete the setup ANUVI will:
Test the file feed.
Move the connection from Pending to Approved in Ease once testing is complete.
Once Approved , COBRA events (initial notices and qualifying events) will start sending automatically on the TPA’s scheduled file frequency when you:
Terminate employees/benefits correctly in Ease, and
Continue to use Ease as normal.
Ongoing use
Terminate employees in Ease with the correct termination date and Terminated status.
The feed will send the qualifying event to ANUVI; ANUVI then sends COBRA notices to the employee.
