1. Initiate the COBRA integration in Employee Navigator
You can start the connection from the broker homepage or from the company:
From the Broker Homepage
Go to your Broker Homepage.
Select Add New Integration(s).
Under the appropriate COBRA/TPA name (ANUVI), click Initiate Integration .
Select the Company.
Select which employees to include (often All Applicable Employees ).
Click Save & Go to Subscription .
Select the Benefits to include and verify Contact and Company Info .
From the Company Homepage
Go to the Company Home Page .
Under Admin Only , select COBRA (or the specific COBRA/TPA name (ANUVI) if it appears there).
Click Add a service + .
Choose the COBRA TPA (ANUVI) from the drop‑down.
Choose which employees to include (e.g., All Applicable Employees or a Subscriber Group).
Click Save and Continue .
Complete:
Benefits : confirm all COBRA‑eligible plans that should send are checked.
Contact : confirm broker/HR contact.
Company Info : confirm legal business name and any other required fields.
2. Understand what the COBRA integration sends
The COBRA Data Exchange sends:
COBRA Qualifying Events (e.g., terminations, reduction in hours, divorce, over‑age dependents).
DOL/Initial Rights notices for newly enrolled participants in COBRA‑eligible plans.
It does not send COBRA elections back from the TPA into EN.
If a COBRA beneficiary elects coverage, the TPA or group must enroll that member in COBRA coverage and ensure the carrier/TPA receives that enrollment (via carrier integration or manual process).
3. Best practices for brokers
Ensure a 1:1 plan match between EN and the ANUVIs system; notify the ANUVI when you renew or add plans or change rates.
Confirm any required demographics (e.g., SSN, address) with the Anuvi and set them as required under:
Company > Settings > HRIS Field Tracking .
If using divisions or other class structures for sub‑group billing, inform the TPA so they can map correctly.
If using Subscriber Groups , connect the COBRA integration by Subscriber Group instead of All Applicable Employees.
