Bank account connection is used for two different purposes depending on your situation:
Credit assessment (Finland & Germany): we may ask you to connect your account during the application process to assess your creditworthiness.
Payments & autogiro (Sweden): you need a connected account to make payments and set up automatic payment.
How to connect your account
Finland: Open the app, go to your application, and select Connect bank account. Choose your bank, log in with your banking credentials, and confirm.
Sweden: Log in to the app and tap Automatic payments or Pay now / Make extra payment. Search for your bank, select the account, and follow the steps to connect.
Germany: From the home screen, tap the tile in the top right, scroll down, and tap Connect account. Follow the instructions to log in.
Changing your connected account (Sweden)
Go to Automatic payments → Change account and set up the new one. Note that it can take a day for the bank to approve the new autogiro mandate — avoid making changes around the 25th of the month.
Can't connect your account?
Your bank may be blocking third-party app access (PSD2). Contact your bank and ask them to enable third-party access.
If you get an error saying the bank is already connected, contact customer service to reset it.
In Germany, make sure you're connecting your main account — if we can't find enough data, we may ask you to add additional accounts. Only connect personal accounts.
As an alternative in Finland: download 3 months of transactions from your current account (PDF) and email them to liitteet@anyfin.fi. In Germany, send 12 months.
Is it safe?
Yes. The connection is made via a secure PSD2-compliant channel through your bank's own login. Anyfin never sees your banking credentials. We only access the data needed for the credit assessment, and only once — we don't have ongoing access to your account.
