Completing the Home Loan Interview Guide (HLIG)

The HLIG is mandatory to be completed for ANZ submissions. In Loanapp, the HLIG data can be captured as part of the application, and the HLIG Document can then be generated to be reviewed and submitted with the supporting documents.

The HLIG can be found in the Compliance - Borrower Interview section in Loanapp, which is at the end of the application (ie after you have completed the application data) You can get to this section by clicking on the side menu panel; or the navigation button at the end of Loan & Serviceability section:

The Borrower Interview is a workflow that asks and captures all the questions that you need to capture for a valid and complete HLIG.

Generally, the Borrower Interview will launch with all of the sections open, but if you need to expand (open) the sections, you can do so by clicking here to expand (or collapse) sections:

Some sections and detail will be auto-completed from the data that you have entered into the application itself, making the HLIG completion easier and accurately reflecting the application data eg:

The HLIG in Loanapp is a 'dynamic' Interview Guide - it will show different questions and sections depending on the circumstances of your actual loan submission and applicant situation.

Each of the sections will ask questions, and you will have the opportunity to either choose yes/no answers eg:

You will find as you work through the HLIG, what is presented to you will be conditional (ie more or less fields/sections will appear based on your application and the data you enter).

You will also find that some parts of the HLIG are optional while others are mandatory. You must complete all the mandatory data in order to satisfactorily complete the HLIG:

The final section of the HLIG is a section that allows you to add Comments that are relevant to the HLIG & Compliance, which will be included in the HLIG Document:

At the bottom of the HLIG is the navigation button to take you to the Summary and Submit page.

You will find that if you try to leave the page and you have not completed all the mandatory data, you will get this error message:

If you press 'Complete Now' rather than Leave, you will stay on the page and if you scroll up, you will see the incomplete items will be highlighted with either error messages, or red borders:

When you have completed the whole HLIG satisfactorily, you will be able to continue to the Summary and Submit section; and you will also have a tick on the side menu for the section, which shows that you have completed the section:

In the Summary and Submit page, you will be able to generate your HLIG Document.
