How to Create a MysteryAct Session Flow

Venues can host MysteryAct games directly through the Anzir app.This guide will walk you through the key steps, including unlocking a MysteryAct, preparing the game environment, creating a Party, and guiding players to join.

In this guide, you will learn how to:

Create and manage a Party

Step 1: Select a MysteryAct Game

As a venue owner, you can begin by choosing and preparing the MysteryAct you want to host.

How to Select
- From the homepage: Browse and choose the MysteryAct that interests you.
- From the venue library: Enter your venue's MysteryAct list and select the script you wish to host.

- As a venue owner, you can browse, select, and view the MysteryAct scripts unlocked in your venue.

Unlock & Prepare the MysteryAct

Step 2: Unlock MysteryAct (Prepare to Start)

After selecting a game, unlock the script to prepare.

How to Unlock
- From the homepage: Choose the MysteryAct you are interested in. The system will automatically associate it with your venue. Click the unlock button to proceed.
- Switch Venue: If you have multiple venues, make sure to switch to the correct venue before unlocking the script, as unlocking is venue-specific.

Step 3: Read the MysteryAct Content

1、Listen to Audio or Watch Video Guides (If Available)

Some MysteryAct scripts provide optional audio or video guides to help you quickly get started.

Audio Guide
- Overview, character introductions, and hosting tips — suitable for listening anywhere, anytime.
Video Guide
- Visual explanations of the hosting flow, scene management, and pacing control.

2、Explore the Script Content

Once unlocked, you can read the complete script content, including:

All player character cards
Story structure, key plot points, and scenes
GM-specific notes (including plot twists, hidden information, and pacing advice)

3、Check the GM Manual

Each MysteryAct comes with a detailed GM manual to guide you through each part of the hosting process:

Opening script and briefing instructions
Scene-by-scene hosting tips and pacing control
Common player questions and answers
Final reveal and post-game reflection tips

Step 4: Use the “Simulate Journey” Feature to Practice Hosting (Free)

After unlocking the script, use the “Simulate Journey” feature to simulate the entire hosting process and quickly familiarize yourself with the system.

How to Use “Simulate Journey”

Click the “Simulate Journey” button to enter simulation mode.
Click “Start” to begin the simulation and experience the full hosting flow.

💡This simulation is free and can be replayed as many times as needed

Create a Party & Start the Game

Step 5: Prepare the Game Space

Ensure your venue is set up according to the needs of the game:

Arrange seating based on the number of players
Prepare props or audio equipment if needed
Ensure your network and devices are stable for controlling sound effects or viewing the script

Step 6: Create a Game Session (Initiated Manually by Any GM in the Venue)

There are two ways to create a game session:

From the homepage
From the party list

Any GM under the venue can create a Party.
Whoever initiates the creation will automatically be assigned as the GM for that Party, and this cannot be changed.

💡Tip: Party creation by the venue is effective immediately and requires no approval.

1. From the homepage (standard session)

Click “PLAY” on the homepage.
Follow the steps to choose a MysteryAct, venue, time, and assign a GM manually.

2. From the party list (standard session)

On the party page, click “Create Game.”
Convert an existing party into a game session by selecting a MysteryAct, venue, and GM.

Step 7: Player-Created Booking — Venue Review & Approval Process

1、Automatic Venue notification (in-app message + email)

Once the player has submitted the booking, the system automatically sends the booking request to the venue:

sends an in-app message to the venue (e.g., “Pending review by store”),
sends a booking notification email containing the guest name, selected time, number of players, and other booking details.

The venue can then log in to the Anzir App to review and confirm the booking, and arrange a GM.

💡Tip：The booking is not finalized until the venue approves it.

2、 Venue Review and Confirmation Process (After the Player Submits a Booking)

Once the player has submitted the booking, the venue can follow these steps to review the request:

Open your Profile page and go to My Venues.
Select your venue and click on Party to access the venue’s booking management page.
Red dot notifications will appear in the following places:
- In the top-right message list (indicating new notifications).
- On the venue avatar (indicating updates).
- In the Party tab (indicating pending bookings).
  Tap to check the latest updates and handle the booking requests.
Go to the Awaiting tab to view new booking requests.
Tap Review Now to open the booking details.
Based on the booking details, choose one of the following actions:
- Confirm → Accept the booking and become the host (GM) for this session.
- Reject → Decline the booking and provide a reason for rejection.
After the booking is submitted, all GMs associated with the venue will be able to view the request. The GM who selects “Confirm” will be automatically assigned as the GM for this party, and this assignment cannot be modified thereafter.

💡Tip：The player will receive an update after the venue either confirms or rejects the booking.

Step 8: Start the Game (On-Site)

Character Selection: Choose the “Game Master” view and assign player roles.
Number of Players: Follow the recommended player count for the best experience.
