Choosing the Right Traction for Your Apolla Socks

When it comes to Apolla Socks, selecting the right traction is crucial for maximizing your performance and comfort. Whether you're a dancer, athlete, or someone who simply enjoys the benefits of high-quality socks, understanding the traction options can make a significant difference in your experience.

Traction vs. Non-Traction: Making the Right Choice

Apolla Socks offer styles with and without traction. The traction option provides grip, which can be beneficial in various activities where stability and control are essential. If you're unsure which option suits you best, consider the environment and activities you'll be engaging in:

  • Traction: Ideal for activities requiring extra grip, such as dance or sports on slippery surfaces. Traction socks help maintain stability and prevent slipping, enhancing your performance.

  • Non-Traction: Suitable for everyday wear or activities where grip is not a primary concern. These socks offer comfort and support without additional grip.

Maintaining Your Traction

If you opt for socks with traction, keeping the grip at your preferred level is simple. Many customers use rock rosin, clear rosin, or rosin spray to refresh the grip. These options are particularly effective on surfaces like gymnasium flooring or tarps, commonly used in marching arts.

However, the most popular choice for refreshing traction is the E6000 Spray Adhesive. This non-toxic, water-soluble adhesive is easy to apply and maintains the grip without compromising the sock's integrity.

*NOTE: If using the E6000 Spray Adhesive as the refresher, be sure to shake the bottle well before each use, spray 5-10 pumps on onto the traction part of the sock and allow 10-20 seconds to dry...then you're good to go! You can do this as much or as little as you need to.

Important Note

It's essential to remember that traction refreshers cannot be used to add grip to socks that were originally designed without traction. Ensure you select the right sock style from the start to meet your needs. Learn more HERE.
