Connecting App Radar with App Store Connect/Google Play Console allows you to:

This will help you save time on ASO, provide you suggestions on how to optimize your app metadata and provide you insights on your app's performance. 

1. Why does App Radar need to connect with App Store Connect/Google Play Console?

The direct integration of App Radar and App Store Connect/Google Play Console allows you to access:

These features will provide you with recommendations on how to improve your App’s metadata further. 

2. What rights does my Google Play / App Store Connect account need to fully access App Radar?

Google Play Console rights 

  1. View App Information: Required for all connection features

  2. View Financial Data: Required for App Metrics Feature

  3. Manage Store Presence: Required for Store Listing Editor Feature

  4. Reply to Reviews: Required for Reviews Feature

These roles are needed to use all features, but work independent from another. If you choose not to give the permission to all roles, you can still use the features that you give permissions for.

App Store Connect rights

  1. Sales: Required for Sales Metrics in App Metrics Feature

  2. Customer Support: Required for Reviews Feature

  3. Finance: Required for App Metrics Feature

  4. Marketing: Required for Store Listing Editor Feature

These roles are needed to use all features, but work independent from another. If you choose not to give the permission to all roles, you can still use the features that you give permissions for.

3. Will I be able to disconnect App Radar and my App Store Connect / Google Play Developer Account?

It is possible to delete the connection from App Radar to the apps in App Store Connect / Google Play Console account at any time. In this case, go to the Google Console/ App Store Connect, find the specific email you invited in the first place e.g. purple@appradar.com, and remove the user from the account.

4. What happens with my data after disconnection?

After disconnection, App Radar will not be able to access the data mentioned above for the future. Collected data up to this point remains securely saved with us.

5. Will App Radar disclose my data?

App Radar will not disclose your data unless required specifically by law, ruling of a court or other acts of public law binding on App Radar.

6. Which performance related data will be processed by App Radar once connected to Apple’s App Store Connect?

We will use App Analytics and Metrics in App Store Connect. For your connected app(s), App Radar aggregates daily for the dimension(s): 

  • Country

  • Device

  • Source

in the following data points:

  • Impressions

  • Store Views

  • In-App Purchases

  • Sales

7. Which performance related data will be processed by App Radar once connected to Google’s Google Play Console?

We will use the User Acquisition Tab. For your connected app(s), App Radar aggregates daily for the dimension(s):

  • Country

  • Source

in the following data points:

  • Store Listing Visitors

  • Installs

Additionally, we aggregate the following data points on a keyword level:

  • Installs

8. Will App Radar use my data for other purposes?

We will use aggregated data to generate and provide estimates of app performance (e.g., downloads), including estimates across publishers, industries, geographies and marketplaces to users. We will never disclose your app’s data in an identifiable form for this purpose.

9. Does App Radar have any certificates regarding data security?

We are happy to inform you that App Radar has done and passed a GDPR audit; certifying our GDPR-conformation processing of personal data as well as the technically safe processing of all and any data handled by us (e.g. safe and encrypted transfer of data, secure storage, etc.). If you want to know more, get in touch with our team and we can provide you with the certificate (issued in the German language).
