✨ Special Pay Rates

Special Pay Rates allows you to add a custom labour value within Metal Pay Rates - Variable.

You might create special rates for:

  • Complex or high-skill flashing operations (e.g., scribing hip caps or caulking ridge “Z” bars).

  • Custom work such as special gutters or site-specific detailing.


✏️ Creating a Special Pay Rate.

  1. Go to Set-Up>Metal Pay Rates - Variable.

  2. Click [Select] and choose a pay rate schedule you would like to add a special pay rate to.

  3. Click [Add-User] to add a Special Pay Rate.

  4. Give the new Special Pay Rate a name.

  5. Input a price for the varying pitch and storey.

  6. Click [Update] and [OK] to save your changes.


🦺 Using Special Pay Rates for Flashings

  1. Create a Special Pay Rate in Metal Pay Rates - Variable.

  2. Go to Set-Up>Flashings.

  3. Click [Select] and choose the flashing from the list.

  4. Under Pay Rate Schedule, select a pay rate from the drop down that includes your special rate.

  5. Under Pay Rate Line Item, select the special pay rate from the drop down.

  6. Click [Update] and [OK] to save your changes to the flashing definition.


⚠️ Note:
Only create special pay rates if needed.
While powerful, they add extra complexity when setting up flashings and are best reserved for unique, repeat-use situations.
