Roof Wizard button - COSTING Metal-Pay - Metal Pay Rates - VariableMetal Pay Rates – Variable

The Metal Pay Rates – Variable command opens the Installer Pay Rates for Metal Roofing dialog box.
This tool allows you to define or modify labour rates for different roof types, storeys, and pitch intervals.

You can assign a pay schedule for any job via: Cover > Select Metal or link a pay schedule to a specific panel via: Set-Up > Metal Panels. Roof Wizard will then automatically select that pay rate schedule anytime that panel is applied.

💡 You can create up to 50 unique labour rate tables, each defining different rates or conditions.

🛠 Example Use Cases

You might create special rates for:

  • Complex or high-skill flashing operations (e.g., scribing hip caps or caulking ridge “Z” bars).

  • Custom work such as special gutters or site-specific detailing.

⚠️ Note:
Only create special pay rates if needed.
While powerful, they add extra complexity when setting up flashings and are best reserved for unique, repeat-use situations.

See Special Pay Rates for more info.

💾 Saving and Applying Changes

  • When finished, click [Update] and [OK] to save all changes.

  • Your updated labour schedule becomes available for selection under Cover > Select Metal during roof setup.

  • Click [Cancel] if you want to close without saving.
