How to send a second stage screener to candidates

Second Stage screening questions are an optional set of questions which can be added to jobs and can take the place of an Employment Application document.

This question template can be sent to candidates via email/text after they have initially applied to one of your Apploi jobs. These questions can be sent either

  • automatically via Apploi Automated Workflows

  • manually by messaging the candidate

First, make sure you have set up your Second Stage screening templates and added the questions to the job.

Next, configure your own email/text templates to send out the Second Stage screening questions by creating a template and inserting the merge field: "URL - Second Stage Screener" into the template.

When this merge field has been added to the template it will look like this in the body of the message: *|SECOND_STAGE_JOB_URL|*

If you would like to send out the questions via both email and text, be sure to insert the merge field in both the Email & Text template.

After you have created your template, you will be able to select this template to send to candidates manually or add the template to an Automated Workflow.
