Congratulations on downloading Appstle Subscriptions! You have now started the journey to expand your recurring revenue streams, a highly necessary feature today, to win the e-commerce game.

App configuration

You can configure the Appstle Subscriptions app by simply logging in to your Shopify admin panel, navigating to the apps section, and selecting our app.

You will then be redirected to the Dashboard or to the Merchant admin section.

Then, to create the subscription plans of your choice in your store, you can click on ‘Subscription Plans’ on the left side panel.

Upon successfully getting into 'Subscription Plans', you can click on ‘Create Subscription Plan’ on the top right.

You can then enter a suitable name for your subscription plan and select all the products to which you want it to be applied for.

You can select the Plan type either as:

  • Pay as you Go,

  • Prepaid Plan

  • Advanced Prepaid Plan

Plan details

PAY AS YOU GO: If you select this plan, it will automatically bill the customers after the defined interval frequency of the recurring orders.

  • Order Frequency - this is the time gap between two orders.

PREPAID: if you select this plan, it will charge the customers in advance, for their orders.

  • Fulfillment Frequency - the interval between two fulfillments

  • Billing Frequency - the time gap between two billing cycles. For a pre-paid plan, billing frequency should be higher than delivery frequency. For example, you can set a billing frequency of 12 weeks and delivery frequency of 1 week, in which case, a customer will pay for 12 deliveries in advance.

ADVANCED PREPAID: If you select this plan, it will charge the customers in advance, for their orders.

  • Fulfillment Frequency - the interval between two fulfillments

  • Billing Frequency - the time gap between two billing cycles. For a pre-paid plan, billing frequency should be higher than delivery frequency. For example, you can set a billing frequency of 12 weeks and delivery frequency of 1 week, in which case, a customer will pay for 12 deliveries in advance.

Other definitions

  • Frequency Plan Name - this is for internal purposes only. You can name it anything for your convenience, like WEEKLY, MONTHLY etc.

  • Minimum Number of Orders - minimum number of orders you want to bind your customers with, before they can cancel their subscription. Default value is 1.

  • Maximum Number of Orders - maximum number of orders that can happen with the subscription plan, after which it will automatically be cancelled.

  • Offer a discount for subscribing? - enable this trigger if you want to offer your customers some discount (it can be offered in percentage or in specific amount).

Creating a subscription plan

You can also enter the subscription frequency from the drop-down in this page - [Monthly, Weekly, Daily, or Yearly]. Once you have updated this, you can enter the frequency name [this ‘Frequency Name’ will be the name that will be displayed to your customers].

Lastly, you can choose to reward your loyal customers who subscribe to your products on a regular and recurring basis with a discount, through the discount button!
