How to customize emails?

Overview

Appstle enables you to send automatic email notifications to your customers for many milestones such as subscription creation, upcoming orders, and card decline, that occur during their subscription journey with your store.

While Appstle sets default emails, you - the merchant, have complete control to a) ENABLE/DISABLE IT, choose the milestones during which you engage with your customers, and to b) CUSTOMIZE IT to your store and PERSONALIZE IT to use it as an opportunity to connect with your customers.

Customer emails

We currently provide you the option to trigger multiple emails to customers who signup for a subscription

  1. Expiring Credit Card - This is sent when the credit or debit card they have on file is about to expire.

  2. Next Order Date Updated - This is sent when either you, the merchant, or the customer updates their next order date for their subscription product.

  3. Order Frequency Updated - This is sent when either you, the merchant, or the customer updates their order frequency for their subscription product.

  4. Order Skipped - This is sent when either you, the merchant, or the customer skips an order for their subscription product.

  5. Out of Stock - This is sent when an item that is listed in your store goes out of stock.

  6. Security Challenge - This is sent when a security challenge from the customer's credit card processor is requested.

  7. Shipping Address Updated - This is sent when a customer changes their shipping address information in their customer portal.

  8. Subscription Cancelled - This is sent when either you, the merchant, or the customer cancels a subscription.

  9. Subscription Created - This is sent when either you, the merchant, or the customer creates a subscription.

  10. Subscription Management Link - Sent to allow customers direct access to the customer portal to manage their subscription there.

  11. Subscription Paused - This is sent when either you, the merchant, or the customer pauses their subscription.

  12. Subscription Product Added - This is sent when either you, the merchant, or the customer adds a product to their subscription.

  13. Subscription Product Removed - This is sent when either you, the merchant, or the customer removes a product to their subscription.

  14. Subscription Product Replaced - This is sent when either you, the merchant, or the customer replaces a product in their subscription.

  15. Subscription Resumed - This is sent when either you, the merchant, or the customer resumes either a paused or cancelled subscription.

  16. Transaction Failed - Sent when a customer's payment method cannot be processed for payment for their subscription.

  17. Transaction Success - Sent when a customer's payment goes through for a subscription order.

  18. Upcoming Order - Sent when there is an upcoming order to be processed soon for a customer.

Enable/Disable Email triggers

You can enable/disable the option to send your customers emails at the above discussed checkpoints, by simply toggling the Status button.

Here is how to do it:

Step 1: Navigate to More > Email Settings > Email Templates

Step 2: Click on Email Template Settings on the left side panel

Step 3: Click on the checkboxes next to each template to enable/disable the email trigger.

Email customization and modification

With Appstle Subscriptions, you can customize all the email templates and preview them within your Merchant portal.

Here is how to do it:

Step 1: Login to your Merchant Portal

Step 2: Click on 'Email Template Settings' on the left side panel

Step 3: Select the name of the Email template you would like to edit

Once the email template opens, you can modify the email to best suit your store. You can also use this opportunity to smartly engage with your customers, and wow them with the unique experience and personalization of your store!

Here is the list of all our default templates - please go through them, and customize them to suit your store, if required, using the steps outlined earlier in this document).
