How to Trade Using the DOM and Chart in Tradovate

The combination of the DOM (Depth of Market) and Chart is one of the most popular ways to trade futures in Tradovate. The Chart helps you analyze market movement, while the DOM allows you to place, modify, and manage orders quickly.

This guide explains how to set up and use both tools across desktop, web, and mobile platforms.

What is the DOM?

The DOM (Depth of Market) displays real-time bid and ask prices along with available market liquidity.

Using the DOM, you can:

  • Place Buy and Sell orders

  • Enter Limit and Stop orders

  • Monitor market activity

  • Manage open positions

  • Adjust or cancel orders quickly

Many active futures traders use the DOM for faster execution and order management.
