Breeding related information is stored against the horse record in Ardex for the Mare. If you go to Main > Horses and double click a Mare with some breeding history there are a number of information tabs available which relate to breeding.
Main
On the Main horse information tab towards the bottom there is a Breeding Summary field, containing a summary of breeding information for the horse.
This Breeding Summary information will update as breeding procedures are recorded to the mare.
Service Details
The Service Details tab will have one line of information listed for each time the mare has been served by a stallion. Pregnancy scan results are listed, and if the final pregnancy test is positive there will be a due date for birth of the foal. Service details can be edited using the Maintain button.
Breeding History
The Breeding History tab will have one line of information listed for each time the mare has been in foal. You can use this screen to enter historic breeding information to the Mare if you wish, if the mare has come into your care recently and previous breeding operations were carried out at another property.
Foaling Details
If the Mare is set to category Home in Foal (or Visiting in Foal) then the Foaling Details tab will display stallion name, and information on service date and due date.
If the Mare is set to category Home Foaled (or Visiting Foaled) then the Foaling Details tab will display information on the foal born, including date of birth, colour and sex.
