Why am I not seeing jobs that match my interests?

Not seeing the right job matches on Arena? Learn how to update your profile, adjust filters, and improve your results.

Updated this week

Not seeing relevant jobs on Arena? Don’t worry—it might just be a matter of fine-tuning your profile or preferences. Here are some common reasons and how to fix them.

🔍 1. Your profile is incomplete or out of date

Arena’s AI uses your profile to recommend jobs. If your experience, skills, or career goals are missing or outdated, the system may struggle to find good matches.

Fix it:

  • Add your current role, past experience, and top skills

  • Update your industry interests and preferred job types

  • Complete your bio and upload your resume

Go to “Profile” to make updates.

🎯 2. Your interests or filters are too narrow

If you’ve selected very specific job titles, locations, or role types, the system might not surface results outside that range—even if they’re a good fit.

Fix it:

  • Broaden your search filters slightly (e.g., include remote or hybrid roles)

  • Add multiple job functions you’re open to (e.g., Marketing and Partnerships)

  • Explore similar titles or industries that align with your skills

🤖 3. The job market is dynamic

Some roles are seasonal or project-based, and availability can fluctuate. Certain industries may also post fewer jobs at specific times of year.

Fix it:

  • Check back regularly—new jobs are posted all the time

  • Turn on job alerts so you’re notified when new matches become available

  • Attend Arena-hosted events for direct networking opportunities

💬 4. You haven’t interacted with the platform recently

Arena’s AI improves over time as it learns from your behavior—like which jobs you click on, save, or apply to.

Fix it:

  • Engage with the platform weekly to improve match quality

  • Apply to jobs or bookmark listings you're interested in

  • Explore job categories you might not have considered before
