The Google Users Sync integration allows you to provision Arsen with your Google Workspace users.
1 - Objectives
The purpose of this procedure is to automatically synchronize your employees’ profiles from Google Workspace to Arsen using the Google Users Sync integration.
This allows you to:
avoid manual imports via CSV files;
automatically keep the employee list up to date when changes occur in Workspace;
ensure that all Arsen features rely on accurate data.
2 - Prerequisites
To install the integration, the person performing the setup must be able to authorize the installation of a third-party application on the Google Workspace tenant.
To do so, you must:
be a Global Administrator on your tenant;
we recommend using a dedicated user account acting as a service account for this integration (for example:
admin@your-domain.com);be logged into Arsen with the same account used to access the Google Admin Console.
3 – Delegate the setup of the integration
When an Arsen account is opened:
Arsen automatically detects your email provider
If your company uses Google Workspace, you can:
perform the installation yourself if you are the Google Workspace administrator
or send the instructions via
Share Onboarding Linkif another person must complete the integration
3.1 – Send instructions
To send instructions to an administrator:
click
Share Onboarding Link
enter the administrator’s email address
click
Generate Link
Using this link, the administrator will access a console available for 15 days.
Then click Sync your employees, either from the shared link or directly from your Arsen account, then choose Google.
4 – Grant required privileges
To proceed with installation, ensure you have permissions to grant the following privileges to the User Sync with Google Workspace application:
Dedicated Global Administrator
or Privileged Role Administrator
Recommended: a dedicated service account for this integration
5 – Install the integration during onboarding
5.1 – Open the module
From your dashboard, click Google Users Sync.

5.2 – Connect the Google Workspace account
The following steps must be completed:
sign in to the Google Admin account via
Open Google Admin Consoleclick
Add New
a window opens: paste the Client ID and OAuth scopes provided by Arsen
click
Setup connection to Google Workspace
The integration is almost complete: Arsen is now connected to your Google Workspace directory.
5.3 – Select which users to synchronize
Available sync options:
all users in the tenant
all users in a group named “arsen” created previously
users from one or several Workspace groups, including nested groups
⚠️ Warning
Only active users are synchronized.
📚 Note
Nested groups (groups containing other groups) are supported.
Click
Save changes and sync users
The process may take a few minutes.
