Overview
Having a professional logo (as opposed to having your business name displayed in plain text in your site header) can be extremely beneficial in gaining traction and providing your customers with a sense of ease and the ability to trust you and your brand.
If you don't have a logo currently you might be surprised at how easy it can be to create one using free or inexpensive tools which are available online. Alternatively, you can look for a designer who can create a logo for you, which you may prefer if you're not comfortable with doing this yourself (although some of these tools are surprisingly user-friendly).
Some examples:
Canva - https://www.canva.com/
Hatchful - https://hatchful.shopify.com
Ucraft - https://www.ucraft.com/
Note: We recommend that you keep your logo images small for use on your site, and you should either upload them as JPG or PNG images depending on whether you wish to have the background of the image transparent or not. If you've had your logo created professionally, they may provide you with a vector file in addition to JPG or PNG. This is suitable for use on business cards or other printed materials, but shouldn't be uploaded to your site.
Recommended logo image sizes:
Main logo - 250x100px or smaller
Scrolling/Mobile logo - 150x50px or smaller
Social Media default image - exactly 600x315px
