Walkthrough

Because Art Storefronts is such a robust platform we like to offer our customers as many options as possible for selling their work. This means we want everyone to be able to sell things like calendars, greeting cards, t-shirts, mugs, etc. To make this possible, ASF offers all of its users a Standard Store.

This type of store differs from Upload and Art Print stores because it is mainly used for Originals or non-Art Print products. This means you can sell almost anything you want to in this type of store. It always means that ASF works diligently to offer as many features in this store as possible, so you should always be on the lookout for updates.

If any of the articles contained here are confusing or you are having difficulties completing any step, please reach out to cs@artstorefronts.com. One of our Technical Agents will reach out to you as soon as possible.

When you start your Art Storefronts site it will not have a Standard Store. You’ll have to create a Standard Store.

This is a simple task that anyone should be able to complete and we’ve included a link to an article that will guide you through the process.

Just like an Art Print Store, you can create folders. This will help you keep all your products separated out. This means your originals and t-shirts won’t be mixed up in one folder.

Warning: If you are an Artist using Automated Fulfillment, it is imperative you understand that anything sold in a Standard Store WILL NOT be fulfilled by your Fulfillment Vendor.

You are responsible for fulfilling any orders from a Standard Store. As such you will want to make sure you have Shipping Options and Tax Methods set up.

Please Note: Any image uploaded into a Standard Store will have to be less than 20mb. If it exceeds this size limit the image will not be uploaded.

After you have your folders created and edited you can start considering adding products to your Standard Store.

First, you can offer Calendars. This option will allow you to upload your images and arrange them in a calendar format.

The second option you have is Standard Products. This would be for mugs, clothes, sculptures, jewelry, workshop tickets, etc. Any other art product that's not listed within the product types.

Third, you can upload Originals. These products are uploaded here because these will be fulfilled by you, not a fulfillment vendor.

Fourth, you can sell Panel Art in a Standard Store. If you specialize in Polyptych art, this store is where you’ll want to create those items.

Fifth, you can offer a type of gift card through your Standard Store. This will allow your customer to purchase a set amount of money to be used on a order on your site only.

Last, you can create Art Cluster projects in a Standard Store. This is not a standard feature of the standard store. This is an add-on that will have to be purchased.

Please Note: This feature is not available for anyone but Print Studios. If you’re an Artist, you won’t be able to use this feature or purchase it.

After you’ve uploaded everything you want in the Standard Store you may find you need to go in and make some changes or just add some advanced touches to set you apart from others.

First, you can always offer standard products in your Standard Store. If you need to make changes, you are always welcome to do so.

Secondly, if you’re offering things like shirt or items that will have multiple options, you may find you need to offer Product Options for those items. Product Options allow you to offer variations of an item.

Finally, if you end up selling an Original you do have the ability to mark it as sold.

Once you’ve completed this step and you have pricing, shipping and taxes set up it may be time to move on to Calibrating your website and adding on the finishing touches!
