If you need to be able to see orders from specific artists featured on your website (or subject matter), so that you can show them what was sold or pay them a commission, this article will show you how to do this.
NOTE: This is different from tracking sales of anyone that is referring business to you, such as a restaurant, curator, or a website you are advertising on. In this case, you would want to provide them with a link to your website with specific tracking code, covered in this article: How to Empower Third Parties to Sell For You & Track Their Sales (Link Tagging & Referral Tracking).
By organizing products into folders, it allows you to export the orders of only the products within that folder. This will give you clear numbers of the total revenue sold by folder, as well as some other helpful data.
Please Note: If you’d like to export orders of just products from a specific artist, you need to make sure that you create folders in your store that have the artist name and add all their products in that folder. Here is a tutorial for handling Folders within your Store: How to: Manage Folders in your Store
In this article, we are going to cover:
How to create a Folder with Artist Name
Log in to your Art Storefronts Site Manager and click on your Store. You can either use an Art print Store or a Standard Store Today, we will be working in the Art Print Store titled Warehouse.
On the next page, make sure you are on the tab titled Products. This is the area where you are going to be able to create folders for your Store.
Scroll down the page slightly and find and click on the button labeled +Add Folder. This will allow you to create Folders in your Store.
A pop-up will show up where you’ll see Name. In this box, you will need to provide the folder with a Name. This is where we will provide the folder with the artist name. In our case, we’ll use the name “ArtistName”. Please Note: If you don’t provide the folder a name, it will not create properly.
Click on Create and that will create your new Folder
The next Step would be adding products to that specific folder. Please find out more information here: How to: Manage Folders in your Store
