Create your crypto wallet

Welcome to Artega. Before you can sign up, you'll need to set up a cryptocurrency wallet.

Why do you need a wallet?

Unlike traditional platforms, Artega is different from traditional platforms. We don’t rely on payment systems like Stripe, PayPal, or banks because they don’t align with our values around privacy and control over your own finances. Instead, we use cryptocurrency, which allows you to pay and receive funds in a secure, private, and decentralised way. Traditional payment systems often put consumer interests second. Artega is built around your control over your own finances.

What is a cryptocurrency wallet?

A crypto wallet is where you receive and manage payments on the blockchain. In order to sign up for Artega, you need a wallet because it ensures your clients' payments can reach you securely. Without a wallet, there's nowhere for payments to be delivered.

What is a wallet key?

A wallet key is a critical part of your crypto wallet—it’s like an email address, but instead of sending a message, people send you crypto. During the sign-up process, you’ll need your wallet key, so be sure to store it somewhere safe and secure. You’ll be asked for it when you create your Artega account, and without it, the sign-up process cannot be completed.

You’ll need a wallet that accepts USDT (Tether)

To make the most of your Artega experience, you'll need a wallet that supports USDT, also known as Tether. Tether is a type of stablecoin, which means it doesn’t experience the same fluctuations as other cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. This is because Tether is pegged to a national (or fiat) currency, specifically the US dollar, which gives it much more stability. This makes USDT ideal for those who want to use cryptocurrency for transactions and purchases, rather than for speculative investment. While it’s tied to the value of the US dollar, it’s important to note that Tether is not directly linked to the U.S. government or any official financial institutions. It’s a decentralised stablecoin that gives you the best of both worlds: the reliability of traditional currency and the freedom of cryptocurrency.

Once your wallet is set up and ready to go, you’re just a few steps away from completing your account and getting started.
