You're nearly there! In this final step, you'll be completing your NFT purchase through our trusted payment partner, Wert.
Once you click Continue with Wert, you’ll leave Artega’s platform and enter Wert’s secure checkout environment. Here's what to expect:
1. Confirm your artwork and details
You’ll see a preview of the digital artwork you’re buying. Wert will begin generating the metadata that turns your digital file into a registered NFT. If you're unfamiliar with this process, read our guide to NFTs here.
You can pay using a range of credit or debit cards.
2. Why the price might look a little different
You may notice a slight variation in price over time. This happens because:
Traditional currencies (like USD or EUR) use two decimal places, while Polygon (the blockchain network we use) uses eight.
Real-time currency conversion is involved.
Wert’s rates update every 30 seconds to stay accurate.
3. Understanding your bill
Here’s a breakdown of what’s included:
Exchange rates: Updated in real time by Wert.
Processing fee (5–6%): This covers Artega’s platform costs and is already included in the price. You can support the artist further by adding a tip at checkout to help cover these costs.
Polygon network fee: A small charge for processing on the blockchain, typically $0.002–$0.01 USD.
Tether wallet address: This confirms where your NFT will be sent—like checking the last four digits of your card.
To see more details or change language preferences, click the menu icon in the top-right corner (5).
4. Enter your details securely
Wert will ask for the following details to process your payment and comply with legal regulations:
Mobile number: Used to create your Wert account and remember previous purchases. If you're making large purchases (over $5,000), Wert is legally required to perform KYC (Know Your Customer) checks.
Verification code: Enter the code sent to your phone to confirm your identity.
Card details: Must be a card in your name. You'll enter:
Card number, expiry date
Billing address: country, city, ZIP code, street
Full name (as it appears on your ID)
Date of birth, email, country of residence
Your information is never shared with Artega or the artist.
5. Final confirmation
Once your card is verified, click Confirm and Pay. Blockchain transactions can take a moment longer than traditional purchases—but hang tight! You'll soon see a confirmation screen showing your public key (wallet address), and we’ll also email this to you.
6. After your purchase
You’ll receive two emails:
From Wert: Payment confirmation with transaction details.
From Artega: Confirmation of your NFT purchase, including your public keys if you created a wallet with us.
A look at your Wert confirmation email:
Term | What it means |
Processing fee (5–6%) | Our platform fee—already included. |
Network fee | Polygon’s small service fee—also included. |
Token price | What you paid for the NFT itself. |
Exchange rate | Currency conversion rate at time of purchase. |
TXID | Your unique Transaction ID on the blockchain. Think of it as a digital receipt. |
Polygon wallet address | Your public key—safe to share and used to receive NFTs. |
We do not store or email your private keys. These are like passwords—only you should have them. Make sure you’ve saved them somewhere secure. We can’t recover them for you.
