LTL Quote Sheet

How to Generate (and Customize) an LTL Quote Sheet

Updated over 3 weeks ago

An LTL Quote Sheet is a document used to show the estimated cost and details of shipping a Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) freight shipment.

Here’s how it’s used:

  1. Filled out by a broker or carrier – It includes key info like origin, destination, freight class, weight, number of pallets, and dimensions.

  2. Shows pricing – It gives the shipper a breakdown of the estimated cost, including base rate, fuel surcharge, accessorial fees (like liftgate or residential delivery), and total cost.

  3. Helps compare options – Shippers can use it to compare different carriers or services before booking the shipment.

  4. Used to confirm booking – Once approved, the quote details help finalize the shipment and create the Bill of Lading.

In short, an LTL Quote Sheet helps the shipper understand how much the shipment will cost and what’s included before moving forward.
