In Asklayer, system-level text is automatically translated, while the actual survey content (questions and answer choices) is handled by creating and publishing a separate survey for each language.
Steps
System text such as the "Next" button, required-field messages, and error messages is pre-translated into the top 20 languages worldwide and automatically switches based on the visitor's browser language. No action is needed for this part.
For text that users enter — such as questions and answer choices — per-field translation works for straightforward translation, but it doesn't fully support localization needs like changing the order of questions per language. For this reason, Asklayer takes a "one survey per language" approach and lets you target each survey by language.
First, create your survey in the base language.
Duplicate that survey.
Edit the duplicated survey and translate it into the target language.
In the survey editor, under the "Delivery" tab, set the display-language condition for each survey.
Example: You create French and German versions, and you want to show the English version to all other visitors.
Set the French survey's condition to "Browser language Equals French"
Set the German survey's condition to "Browser language Equals German"
Set the default English survey's condition to "Browser language Not Equals French, German"
