Program Overview
Assetmark Charitable is partnering with Chariot to modernize and standardize how grant payments are delivered to nonprofit organizations. This transition reflects our commitment to building the most reliable, secure, and efficient charitable giving infrastructure — ensuring grants move quickly from donors to the organizations they’re intended to support.
“By bringing Chariot’s advanced disbursement capabilities into the Give platform, we are reducing administrative burden for nonprofits and eliminating uncertainty for donors. This partnership strengthens the connection between generosity and impact and reflects our commitment to building the most reliable, modern charitable giving infrastructure in the industry.”
— Paul Lussow, TIFIN Give CEO
Why We’re Moving to Chariot
Faster grant delivery
Nonprofits with a Chariot Account receive funds instantly once grants are approved. If an organization doesn’t yet have an account, they’re notified immediately and can still receive funds instantly after setup.
Stronger security protections
Check and ACH fraud continue to increase, and nonprofits are particularly vulnerable due to public financial information and high inbound payment volume. Chariot reduces risk through:
Digital payments with advanced fraud detection during account claiming
Enhanced check security when checks are required (positive pay, stop-pay capabilities, geo-tracking, and address re-verification)
Better nonprofit experience = happier donors
When charities receive grants quickly and with clear, structured data, they can acknowledge donors faster and with greater confidence — strengthening donor trust and satisfaction.
A new industry standard
As a technology-first organization, TIFIN is committed to using best-in-class solutions. Chariot’s disbursement technology sets a new benchmark for grant payments, and this partnership ensures our clients and their donors receive the highest standard of service.

Operational Notes on the Transition:
Organizations currently receiving checks can be transitioned to Chariot at the time of partnership launch.
Non profit organizations can claim their Chariot Account here.
Organizations using legacy electronic payment methods have received advance communications prompting them to set up a Chariot Account for electronic disbursements.
We will retain our legacy provider during the transition period to ensure continuity and mitigate any risk to successful grant delivery.
Donors and advisors will no longer need to request ACH setup when submitting a grant.
Visibility into an organization’s electronic payment eligibility will remain available in the platform, consistent with the experience donors and advisors are accustomed to.
Proactive Electronic Delivery & Outreach Policy
As part of our partnership with Chariot, Assetmark Charitable has been actively working with Chariot prior to launch to increase electronic grant delivery across the nonprofit ecosystem through proactive outreach and coordinated account setup campaigns.
When a grant is initiated to an organization that is not yet enabled for electronic delivery via Chariot, our team will immediately begin outreach to coordinate electronic payment setup. This outreach includes multiple contact attempts via email and phone over a five-business-day period.
Organizations that claim and activate their Chariot Account during this outreach window will be enabled for instant electronic grant delivery — both for the current grant and for all future grants moving forward.
If we are unable to coordinate electronic delivery during this period, a paper check will be issued to ensure timely fulfillment of the grant. If an organization does not claim their account, Assetmark Charitable will proactively reinitiate outreach the next time a grant is submitted to that organization.
This proactive engagement strategy is designed to increase efficiency, strengthen payment security, and accelerate grant fulfillment, with a goal of achieving greater than 90% electronic grant delivery across the platform.
