How Astrotag works for transfers between contacts

Create a unique username to make P2P transfers easier with other AstroPay users.

Astrotag is a personal ID you can link to your AstroPay account. It helps other users find you faster when sending a P2P (peer-to-peer) transfer through the AstroPay app.

What you need to know

  • Your Astrotag acts like a custom username linked to your AstroPay account.

  • It makes it easier to send and receive transfers.

  • Important: You can only search by Astrotag if the person’s phone number is already saved in your contacts.

How to create your Astrotag

  1. Open the AstroPay app.

  2. Go to your profile or settings.

  3. Tap Create Astrotag.

  4. Choose a unique username.

  5. Confirm and save.

How to find someone by Astrotag

  1. Tap Send in the app.

  2. Choose To a contact.

  3. Enter the person’s Astrotag.

  4. Confirm their details and complete the transfer.

Important details about Astrotag

  • You can change your Astrotag up to 3 times.

  • The change limit is permanent—once you reach it, you won’t be able to modify it again.

  • Old tags can’t be reused, even if they’re inactive.
