Proof of Income (SOF): Everything You Need to Know

Learn when and why we request proof of income (SOF), what documents are accepted, and how to submit them correctly.

What is SOF?

SOF stands for Source of Funds. It’s a process used to verify that the funds in your AstroPay account come from a legitimate source and meet compliance requirements.

When is SOF Required?

We may ask you to submit SOF, for example if you move significant amounts in your account. There is no fixed minimum value required for all users.

How Will You Be Notified?

If SOF is needed, you’ll see a banner inside the AstroPay app. Just follow the instructions and upload your document directly through the app.

What Documents Are Accepted?

  • Payslips

  • Invoices for services rendered

  • Pension payment receipts

  • Accounting Certification

Requirements for SOF Approval

The documents must:

  • Show earnings for the last three months

  • Be issued within the last 90 days

  • Be under the name of the AstroPay account holder

  • Be clear and legible, preferably in PDF format - Editable documents are not accepted, such as Word or Excel files.

How Do I Know If My Document Will Be Approved?

  • There is no minimum amount required for approval. The limits will be set based on your proof of income.
