Validating your identity (KYC – Know Your Customer) is a mandatory step to use AstroPay services. If your identity validation is rejected, don’t worry—you can retry directly from your profile. However, each user has a limited number of attempts. If you reach the limit, you will need to contact support.

Why Do I Need to Validate My Identity?

Identity validation is required to:

  • Keep your account secure and prevent fraud or unauthorized use.

  • Comply with international financial regulations.

  • Allow you to access all AstroPay services, such as sending and receiving money, making withdrawals, and using AstroPay cards.

How to Validate Your Identity

  1. Tap on your Profile Icon (top left corner of the screen).

  2. Select Complete Profile to see pending tasks.

  3. Tap Validate Your Identity to access the verification page.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions:

    • Have your identification document ready.

    • You may be asked to take a selfie or record a short video.

  5. Once the process is complete, you’ll see a green checkmark next to "Validate Your Identity," confirming successful verification.

Accepted Documents

The documents you can use depend on your country. The app will show the available options when you begin the process.

⚠️ All documents must be valid, original, undamaged, and not expired.

Tips for a Successful Validation

  • Upload a clear, readable document: blurry or expired documents are common reasons for rejection.

  • Take a good-quality selfie/video: use proper lighting and show your face clearly.

  • Enable camera permissions: the app needs access to your camera to complete verification.

  • Use a mobile device: the verification cannot be completed on desktop. If using a computer, scan the QR code to continue on your phone.

If Your Validation Is Rejected

  • Retry the process directly from your profile.

  • If you exceed the maximum number of attempts, you’ll need to talk to us for further assistance.

Is My Information Safe?

Yes. All personal data is encrypted and protected. Your information is used solely for verification and processed in compliance with legal requirements.

Need Help?

If your validation keeps getting rejected and you cannot continue, please provide details about your attempts and the document you tried to use.

👉 With this process completed, your identity verification will be confirmed, giving you full access to your account and AstroPay services.
